In the old days, before you had this super convenient way to pay a babysitter, you may have been tipping and didn’t realize it. For example, if you owed a sitter $55, but you actually paid them $60, you were tipping. Most of the time, parents just refer to this as “rounding up”. However, sitters look at it as a tip.
It’s always nice to have a great babysitter love you back. It’s really good karma. And, it might even result in faster response times or they might choose you over another booking. We’re not saying that we endorse that behavior from sitters, but babysitting is a business.
