At sitter we know that parenting can be hard, and weekends just mean overtime with no extra pay! We feel fortunate to live and work at the base of the Colorado Rocky Mountains where there is always something family friendly to do! Here is our list of fool proof, pain free ways to entertain your kids on the weekend – You won’t find Chucky Cheese on this list!
This list is also great for sitters looking for a place to take the kids. Sitters will get gold star status with these fun ideas!
Outdoor Activities
Sledding: our two favorite spots are Scott Carpenter Park in Boulder or Sledding Hill Park in Littleton.
Ice skating: Evergreen Lake is hands down the most magical place in the Front Range to lace up your skate. If you don’t want to make the drive to Evergreen, Winter Skate in downtown and the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park are great local choices.
Snowman sculpting: you can always do this in your front yard, but why not get some friends together and head out to one of our many local parks a few that come to mind are Washington Park Denver or North Boulder Park in Boulder
